A Family Team Serving Families
At Goodness & Mercy Birth Services, we’re a family of women who share a love for mothers, babies, and the work of supporting families through childbirth. Our faith in Yeshua the Messiah shapes the way we serve. As Messianic Christians, we seek to demonstrate His love through gentle encouragement, practical help, and faithful support.
Whether or not you share our faith, you are welcome here.

Kandice Elliott
Certified Birth Doula • Third-Year Midwifery Student
I grew up as the fifth of seven children in a family where natural childbirth was simply part of life. My mother gave birth to four of her seven children outside the hospital. I was born at home without a birth attendant, and my younger sister was born with the help of a wonderful midwife.
As I grew older, I started thinking more deeply about childbirth and the way women are supported during labor. Around 2020, I began exploring birth work, reading midwifery textbooks from my mother’s bookshelf and learning from midwives and other birth workers.
In 2024, I began Christian childbirth educator and doula training through Hartland College of Midwifery, where I became a certified birth doula. I am now a third-year midwifery student at Mercy College of Midwifery, and I apprentice with two midwives in the Lansing area as I work toward my goal of becoming a Certified Professional Midwife.
I believe birth is a God-designed process deserving respect, knowledge, and compassionate care. I value natural birth when circumstances allow, but I know birth doesn’t always unfold as expected. A mother benefits greatly from a steady support system, and I want to help families understand their options and feel supported throughout labor and the postpartum period.

Anne Elliott
Childbirth Educator • Birth Doula • Student Midwife
Hi, I’m Anne Elliott. I’m a wife, mother of seven, childbirth educator, birth doula, and student midwife. I’ve been teaching for more than 25 years, and I have a special love for helping families prepare for childbirth with biblical wisdom and practical knowledge.
My own birth experiences have been varied, including hospital, birth-center, home, and cesarean births. Some unfolded much as I’d hoped, while others brought unexpected challenges. I believe Yehovah used those experiences to help me understand the different circumstances mothers face and the importance of compassionate support.
I believe childbirth is physical, emotional, and spiritual work. I love helping mothers understand what is happening in their bodies, teaching husbands and other support people how to offer meaningful help, and encouraging families to approach childbirth with knowledge rather than fear.
My approach to childbirth education is openly biblical. I believe women were created in the image of God with wisdom and purpose. I also recognize that we live in a fallen world, where complications sometimes arise and medical interventions may be necessary. I value both natural preparation and wise medical decision-making. My goal is never to make a mother feel that she must achieve a particular kind of birth to have succeeded.
Above all, I want mothers to feel equipped, informed, respected, and supported, whatever their circumstances may bring.
